Dear Mr. Klemetson:

On February 24, 2005 you submitted preliminary plans to be reviewed by the Pleasant Grove City Development Review Committee (DRC) for 2000 West (Pleasant Grove) Street as it runs through the Smith property. At the present time, Pleasant Grove City is beginning a project in which the City is responsible for the design and construction of 2000 West from the intersection of 2000 West and State Street (Hwy 89) south approximately 620 feet, and from 1300 West (at Lindon border) north to the agreed termination point on the Smith property boundary.

While the City understands and appreciates the zeal of property owners to begin work on the road connecting the two portions being designed and constructed by the City, it is the City's position that we will not approve any portion of the connecting road (Smith portion) until after designs have been submitted by the City's consultant and approved on the City portions of 2000 West. The approved plans for the City portions of the road will set right of way width, lane width and alignment, and elevations of roadway and utilities. It is expected that the connecting portion (Smith portion) will then tie in to what has been approved by the City. Therefore, until the City has received and approved the designs for their portions of the road, the City will not approve any plans for the connecting road.

Should you have questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact Frank Mills at 7855045, or myself, Gary Fry, at 785-6057.

Respectfully,

Gary Fry
